Celebrating 10 year anniversaries for albums we love is something that has become a norm, however, there are those certain ones that just hold an extra special place and feel even more nostalgic than others. There are some that are perfect for certain seasons, those long road trips and some that got us through difficult or even joyful life events. And then there are some that get us through our entire year and have been with us from adolescence to adult years. We grow to them, we cry to them, we dance to them and even in this present moment, we still resonate with them.

This year, a euphoric masterpiece turns 10. Let’s dive in as we celebrate 10 years of Peripheral Vision, an album that most definitely has not been collecting dust.

I’m sure everyone can remember the first time they listened to this band from Virginia Beach.

With their unique sound, catchy, riffs, and above all those lyrics that, at times, kept us humming and indeed made us feel like we'd cut our fingers off.

Perhaps it was Sasha that hooked you. Maybe you had Blue Dream on repeat as Bella Donna’s lyrics made you dizzy, but also hopeful. Or maybe, like a lot of us, you dove into the euphoric styling of Peripheral Vision and never came back up.

Perhaps it helped you through a heartache, a loss, or maybe it just got you through trying times and joyous ones in this crazy thing called life. Recorded with the genius himself, Will Yip, there’s no doubt the album they created 10 years ago still stings and soothes to this present day.

Regardless of when or where are you first listened to it, a little piece of it always stuck with you. Wondering at times how something so melancholic, could also be also be so melodically marvelous.

As they embark on their 10 year tour for this album I know a lot of us will be reminiscing and reflecting as we hear these songs live and share this special experience with each other.

For some of us it may be the first time hearing them and for others it’s another chance to experience the magic that is Turnover and the masterpiece that is Peripheral Vision. Catch Turnover at a local venue near you ⬇️.
